Snowflake future grants

Spyglass provides tooling to understand and resolve conflicts that arise from using future grants at the database and schema level simultaneously. For more information, see:

Spyglass helps you check for issues in your account and automatically remediate those issues.

Check for issues in your account

On the Snowflake tab of your Settings page, you can check if you have conflicts with future grants in your account, view the SQL needed to fix the conflicts, and then open an access request to apply the changes.

To accomplish this, follow these steps:

1. Check for any conflicts

Click the "Check future grants" button

2. Confirm stage changes

Confirm that you'd like to stage the changes.

3. Review the SQL

Verify the "Planned SQL commands" and then submit an access request.

Automated remediation

Spyglass can automatically fix conflicts as it periodically scans your account, to ensure that issues with future grants are resolved as quickly as possible.

To do this, set the "Automatically fix future grant conflicts" toggle in the Snowflake section of the Settings page.
